Alta Vista is committed to challenging world thought on aging by offering individuals and couples, 55 years of age and up, a unique independent living opportunity in a Christian Science atmosphere.

We offer 25 apartments in five separate buildings in downtown Santa Barbara, California. You can walk to a Christian Science church, Christian Science Reading Room, supermarkets, restaurants, theaters, concert halls, library, and the government center within minutes.

Alta Vista is an oasis of manicured grounds and lush flowering plants, bushes, and trees, yet in the vibrant, beautiful, and famous Santa Barbara downtown. You see mountains on one side and the ocean beaches on the other--ten blocks either way.

Each newly renovated bungalow apartment includes a full kitchen and bath.

Tenants must be independent, and be able to cook for themselves (or eat out) and provide all care and supplies needed - just as you would in a regular commercial apartment complex. Alta Vista provides no assisted care services, no meals, no health care, and no retirement activities.
